Model
Radio Control Helicopters come in all shapes and sizes, both
sport and scale. Most people start with a '30' size helicopter, the '30' referring
to
the engine size, (0.30 cubic inches).
The larger '60' size helicopters along
with the scale models are
suited to the accomplished pilot, mainly because
of their higher
prices and rebuild times. To
get the best from your model, you
will need a five-channel radio, and a gyro. The controls you need are throttle,
pitch, tail control,
forward and back cyclic, and right and left cyclic.
The gyro helps
to stabilise the tail rotor and generally stops
the helicopter
"weather-cocking" around.
